Hacked!

Wow. I woke up this morning to find that someone has posted a positive and encouraging message on my blog. Complete with soft focus purple flowers and equally purple prose. Thing is, they didn’t post it as a comment. They posted it as me. Twice.

If you read this blog regularly, and took some comfort from the post(s), I am glad of that, but I myself am neither positive nor encouraging. Nor, for what it’s worth, am I religious.

This is all rather a lot more sinister than it would appear.  It’s a long story, and one I will tell soon, but but to cut that long story short, someone else has my laptop. And not someone I would expect to be putting up this sort of thing…

So. If you are someone who knows me, don’t worry.  I haven’t gone off the deep end. And if you’re someone who enjoys and follows this blog, don’t worry. It’s not going to suddenly shift its focus to posting different versions of “Footprints in the Sand” and pictures of cats.

Strange days indeed…

Somehow I thought that post wasn’t you. Hopefully your hacking won’t be as bad as mine. I lost my whole blog and had to start again when the hackers got in and embedded all sorts of nasties. Even the tachy bods couldn’t help me.

I knew there was something fishy…

  7. I am SO relieved! I frankly could not imagine what would make you post such a pastel “thing”!

I have a son who may be your clone. I love your humor and wondered about the post. Wasn’t offended by the message, gagged a little over the decorations. But my son’s family is going through some serious shit, so I found the message’s timing and you as the source fortuitous and passed it on.I will pass on your beach epiphany account as balance, and explain the hacking, because I think he would enjoy your real posts.

  9. Sorry that this happened; it sucks miserably when people get ahold of your identity, virtual or otherwise, and can sometimes be a massive pain to attempt to clean up; good luck on that front.
But at the same time, it’s given me some wonderful story ideas… Does that make me a bad person? XD

Been there, had my websites (both) deleted, had my Linked-In profile deleted, FaceBook hacked, it’s a horrible feeling…. Good luck with getting it sported out, and yes, I do enjoy and look forward to your posts! I was wondering, but fortunately it was not an offensive post, even if put there by a hacker…! You probably got off very lightly…!

    I was wondering about that…

It was somewhat out of sync with what I’ve read of your stuff. But can’t wait to read what it was all about!

Oh thank goodness! I was going to comment but given the proximity to Easter, wondered if you’d had some epiphany or other and I didn’t want to seem unnecessarily rude. Your blognapper did, however, garner a couple of ‘likes’ so if you ever want to change direction…?

Have no fear. I had an epiphany on the beach a couple of years ago, and it made my drop my ice-cream in the sand, so now I avoid them like the plague.
